Richard Lavega

Richard Lavega is a pizza artisan with more than 20 years of experience. Born in Punta del Este - Uruguay, on November 23. The son of a gastronomic father, he began to discover his passion for doughs and pizzas at the age of 16. He has been alongside great mentors as Davide Civitello, Pasquale Cozzolino, Massimiliano Saieva, Paolo Spadaro  throughout his career. Richard specializes in two very popular styles of pizza, pizza Napolitana, and pizza in taglia. 

 

Featured in South America for its highly hydrated doughs with flours local was summoned to train important restaurants and pizzerias who sought to incorporate new techniques. Also forming a great number of new pizzaiolos today stand out in their profession both in Uruguay and Argentina.


In 2013 he founded his first pizzeria Full house Pizza, in 2019 he was a founding partner of the O ’Sole Mio Pizzeria and Academy in Maldonado-Uruguay. It is currently the Pizzaiolo of K Pizza by Román Pizza Academy in Miami "When Richard isn't baking pizza ... he's probably thinking on it".
